Rotary volunteers painted a large map of the United States on the playground at Wentworth Intermediate School Sunday.
Scarborough Rotarians and volunteers braved the heat Sunday to paint a full color map of the U.S. on the pavement. The project attracted attention from neighborhood kids even before the paint dried. One adventurous young fellow learned how much fun it is to circumnavigate the lower 48 with a glance off Hawaii and Alaska by bicycle before Rotarians had to shoo him away from the wet paint. The map was one of the club's literacy service projects.
