Scarborough High School Interact Club president Anna Fitzpatrick credits long-time Rotarian Harry Page as an inspiration.
The Scarborough High School Interact Club embraces the important work of Project Grace and has helped raise money to support its programs. The Interact Club raised $250 by selling beads of hope at the November election. Then they "picketed" on Route One to help raise more money at Project Grace's annual fuel fundraiser at the municipal fire station. That got reported in the Scarborough Leader, and when long-time Scarborough Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow Harry Page read about that, he made a personal donation to Rotary and suggested that it could be used to help them out. The checks were presented to Project Grace at the Rotary meeting February 28th. In a warm thank you letter to Harry, Anna wrote "Your help with the cause gives me hope that through service people can make a difference. Truly, you have made a difference, and many people will be extremely relieved and grateful for that. Not only this but you have strongly motivated the Interact Club to continue with our fundraisers and our service because we have seen what a difference one person can make.".
