Newest member inducted into Rotary Club of Scarborough
Ryan McClure was inducted as the newest Rotarian Tuesday evening.
Rotary is an international organization of business, civic and professional leaders with over 1.2 million members. Ryan was inducted into the Scarborough club.
Ryan and his wife, Hillarie Olsen, were just married in January, and they bought their new home in Scarborough this year, too. He is a native of Long Island and New Hampshire, but he graduated from USM in 2012. He started worked in Banking as a Financial Services Associate, but just launched a new career in Local Broadcast as an Account Executive with FOX23 WPFO. 3
His Rotary classification will be Advertising. In Rotary, a classification is the profession or occupation in which the Rotarian is engaged. Rotarians are expected to represent their Rotary classification in the highest professional and ethical standards. The classification is not owned by the member, but rather is lent to them by the club and can be taken back if the member fails to meet certain requirements, including community, international, club or vocational service, as well as ethical conduct.
Ryan has various personal interests, but is greatly interested in Colonial architectural salvage and gardening. He has been assigned to the Scarborough Rotary Membership Committee, and has already completed the first level of Rotary Leadership Institute.
