The board of directors has approved the club's participation in the 2017 Four Way Test Speech Contest. The prize for first place district winner will be $750.
 

This year's 4-Way Test Contest will be open to all high school students, grades 9-12, living or attending a school in a community in District 7780. There is a Four-Way Test Contest Manual that includes suggested topics, contest eligibility, entry form, photo and video release form, and judge scoring sheet and instructions. The club will conduct a local contest, and the winner will advance to the district competition.   

 

Public speaking is an important backbone in our society and allows us to connect with individuals, influence decisions, and create the power to change. Effective communication means transmitting a message clearly and concisely so that it is understood. It's about engaging the audience; more important, the message is about "so what" and "why does it matter".
