The club's Community Service Chair Ember Earl reached out to Scarborough Community Services Department and offered Rotary's help with the upcoming Halloween party: Quiet Riot. They would appreciate volunteers and donations of food and beverages. Click here to see what has been lined up already and to volunteer.  Quiet Riot will be a family friendly dance for all ages, abilities and sensory comfort levels.

Come join Scarborough Community Services as we throw a Halloween bash like no other! We are working with Party Headphones in MA to provide an experience that works for all ages, abilities, and comfort levels. Also known as a "Silent Disco," our Quiet Riot dance will provide each guest a wireless headset for the evening, allowing each person to adjust the volume of the music to their liking.

Need a break from the music and dancing? Take off your headphones and watch a room full of people dancing to nothing! There will also be other smaller-sized activities to participate in during our event, such as watching a Halloween-themed movie, taking a break and coloring in our Ghostly Gathering area, even a selfie station. There will be a costume contest with prizes so be sure to dress in your Halloween best!

Tickets may be purchased on Eventbrite or in the Community Services Office at Town Hall through October 26 for $8 per person (online purchases will incur a processing fee. No extra fee for in-office purchases). If any headphones are still available after this date, we will sell tickets at the door (first come, first serve) for $10 per person.

Included in your entrance fee:
  • Use of wireless Party Headphones during the event
  • Halloween goodie bag
  • Light refreshments
